Pattern Discovery releases CompressionInsight 3.0

Pattern Discovery is pleased to announce the release of the most recent version of CompressionInsight, the only automated tag tuning tool for the OSIsoft PI System.  Version 3.0 features a new analysis engine which makes automatic recommendations by optimizing the relationship between data fidelity and data storage.  This data driven approach delivers an unbiased review of compression settings using the dynamic nature of the original signal and produces automatic recommendations for both over-compressed and under-compressed tags.  Additional tag behavior identification flags have been added to the software to advise the user of potential problems or abnormal characteristics witnessed while performing the analysis.
